Secure Pages Web Design

One of the most popular modules we configure for our web design clients is our Secure Pages. Our Secure Pages add-on allows you to protect the content of your website (or just parts of it) behind a user name and password. You can then issue user names and passwords to particular users (or groups of users) who can access secure content. This can have a wide range of practical uses:

• To create a "members-only" website where members can access content which the public cannot.
• To create areas where your staff can access content that the public cannot.
• To allow your clients to login to your website and access information designated only for them.

Groups

Secure Pages is based on the concept of groups. There may be 1 group (e.g. your entire staff) or you may set up 100 different groups (e.g. 100 site members who have access to personalised information). After you have established your groups you can allocate particular content to particular groups. You can make particular pages or modules public or accessible only by members of a particular group(s).

Members

After you have created the structure of groups within Secure Pages (and allocated content to particular groups), you can start granting individuals access to a particular group(s). When you create a site member via our easy to use Mission Control area, you can allocate them to one or more groups. At that time you can also check a button to automatically email them the login details to your website. Your site members can then login to your website. Once logged in, the Secure Pages or modules allocated to that group will be visible for that site member, but not the general public. A members’ access can be set to expire on a particular date.
