Brief:


Operational since 1986, Designer Rugs is Australia’s leading rug company. They specialise in handmade custom rugs and carpets for both residential and commercial interiors. Based around core values of quality, design integrity, originality and service excellence, they have a fantastic reputation both inside and outside the industry. We were approached by the team at Designer Rugs to deliver a site in keeping with their position as industry leaders.

Solution:


The website was always going to show off the fantastic range presented by Designer Rugs. Despite this focus we needed to carefully balance a range of competing factors. Whilst showing off the visual appeal of the range, we also had to share important corporate information, provide clear access to showrooms and of course allow users to locate rugs to their taste.  We deployed a directory search tool to allow users to search based on a range of criteria. We also made heavy use of feature imagery in banner form across key pages.

Results:


Upon launch, key stakeholders gave fantastic feedback. Staff and associates of Designer Rugs were very pleased with the new look. Since the site went live, the response from market has been fantastic. With a CMS to keep the website up-to-date with the latest ranges, the new site has been a great success for the team at Designer Rugs.
