Brief:

Mining & Construction Jobs Online (MACJO) is job seeker and employer matching portal. MACJO awarded the development of the portal to The Web Showroom in 2011. The brief was to build a portal which would allow job seekers around the world to easily find job openings in the mining and construction industries within Australia.

Solution:

The site was built with strong calls to actions for the key target markets. Job seekers can easily sign-up for either a free, or paid listing. Via this listing they can create a profile, which then becomes viewable by employers. Similarly, employers looking for specialised workers can sign-up to the site and via a directory locate job seekers with suitable skills.

Results:

MACJO has been a great success for all involved. The strong look and feel clearly stamps the portal as the pre-eminent player in the space. Since launch the portal has allowed hundreds of job seekers to post their experience onto the site, and allowed employers to find staff skilled in niche areas.
