Google places more weight on the first few sentences of text on any given page rather than the text throughout the middle of the page. This is logical as it is the introductory text and therefore should explain what a page is about. Once again, you will need to balance a good use of relevant keywords in this space along with, with text that grabs the attention of a website visitor and encourages them to stay at your website.
