One of the major areas into which we plan to extend our software over the next 12 months is that of integrations with third party systems. As of this moment, The Web Showroom CMS is integrated with SecurePay, Eway, Paypal and many of Australia’s leading banks as part of our Ecommerce checkout mechanism. We have integrated with Temando in order to provide a comprehensive range of delivery options. Our directory module is integrated with the Real Estate Institute of Australia, in order for our real estate clients to synchronise their portfolio between our system and domain.com.au. And recently we integrated with Campaign Monitor and Mail Chimp to provide top-notch mail solutions.
The rate at which we are asked to look into building integrations between The Web Showroom CMS and other systems has been steadily increasing, and in the last two months this has skyrocketed. More and more, sophisticated site owners demand systems that talk to other systems. In the last month we have researched integrations with
But the one integration that we’re most excited about is one we’re about to undertake between The Web Showroom and MYOB.
So far, so ordinary. And what our clients end up with is a lot of sales (hopefully) which then have to be duplicated in their accounting system. For many clients this is MYOB. We currently provide a facility to export order, product and member information to CSV files which must help to some extent, but how much easier their lives would be if we were able to synchronise orders directly with their MYOB records.
What we are currently undertaking to do is provide a mechanism for two clients to maintain updated product and member records between TWS and MYOB, meaning that on successful transaction we can transmit order information immediately. The process could create customers in MYOB if they do not already exist, generate quotes in the case where stock levels are insufficient, create invoices and payments. Voila! No extra time spent maintaining duplicate systems.
And this need not be one way either - there’s no reason why we should not be able to do the same in reverse. Orders made offline and recorded in MYOB could be brought into TWS for more accurate browsing of your orders area. We could create a process whereby inventory updated in MYOB would automatically update inventory in TWS.
So there you go - plenty of exciting developments planned in terms of keeping your online store as practical as possible. If you would like to speak to us about building a custom solution to integrate your shop with MYOB, then please get in touch. Alternatively, if you have any other needs to require your website to talk with other systems, we would be only too happy to look into it and provide a quote.
